*PRE-ORDER* CASEY SPILLMAN 'PETUNIA' 12"

Casey Spillman joins Hessle Audio with Petunia, a four-track EP reflecting an increasingly exploratory approach to his sound. The release brings together the Essex-born producer and DJ’s varied influences, capturing a growing confidence in following new directions in the studio.

Spillman’s music draws on the rhythmic urgency and low-end weight of jungle and garage, alongside the more spacious textures of ambient. His productions move between forceful dancefloor material and more introspective territory, with that breadth also informing his approach behind the decks. Alongside releases on Infuse, he has developed an outlet for his music through his own label, Temperature. Petunia grew from a desire to push those possibilities further. Spillman approached the EP as an opportunity to bring different strands of his sound together and give himself more room stylistically, while retaining the character that connects his work. “This EP feels like the perfect representation of where I’m at today,” he says. “It gave me the opportunity to really go for it stylistically, bringing everything together in a way that still feels completely like me.”
