Across four tracks, Curiosity Clicks, Your Progress, Unveil and Relax, the EP brings together the heavy-bass, old-school weight that runs through dBridge's three-decade career with the space and flow that he helped define through Exit Records and the Autonomic movement. The title track sets the tone: a heavy-bass head-bopper built on old-school foundations, where the drums hold steady throughout while the backing shifts beneath them: dreamy synth lines give way to slow, dancey plucks before dropping into pure drum and bass, each section reshaping the track's mood without ever losing its groove. Across the rest of the EP, that same push and pull continues: rolling low-end and heavy drums sit alongside more atmospheric waves, a balance dBridge has spent his career refining. The EP arrives from an artist whose influence on UK drum and bass runs deep. From the techstep of Bad Company through founding Exit Records in 2003 to reshaping 170bpm music with dBridge and Instra:mental’s Autonomic project, dBridge has spent over thirty years moving between eras without losing his identity. With Curiosity Clicks, he brings that same instinct to fabric, delivering a project that feels both rooted in his history and unmistakably current. “This project is part of a wider collection of music I’ve written concentrating on 160bpm. I’ve been going back to my early foundations of writing music. Jungle, DnB was a variety of tempos before it landed in the mid 170bpm range, and a lot of the music I love is in that sweet spot. I found it allows me to explore and merge other influences and form something new.”
